The latest version of Kia's smallest car, the Picanto, may have matured in the third generation, but it will also get younger if we distract ourselves from it. At the top of the series is a sportier version called the Picanto GT Line and hopes to capitalize on some of the interests of petrol head. They are produced by the Stinger GT rear-wheel drive.
Kia is still not ready to launch a 200 hp engine as it is a small car, and the Picanto GT line now looks like a little sports supermini with a few modest technological changes.
However, it sits on a completely new chassis, and although the 2017 Picanto has the same length as the previous model (3,595 mm), undoubtedly a better posture. Kia has achieved this goal by reducing the length of the front and rear overhangs and extending the wheelbase by 15 mm. It's not a massive climb, but the overall result is a car that feels much better on the road and creates a little more interior space for the passengers.
And the indoor climate is becoming increasingly important, as homeowners know that they spend more time looking in their car than outside. The Picanto, especially in the specification of the GT line, is more interesting than most. An autonomous infotainment system and a well-dimensioned multifunction steering wheel make it feel more adult.
You can even have it with red flashes on the seats if you feel particularly fat. Fortunately, there is also good room for passengers on the back, supported by doors that offer wide openings for easy access.
